About Summer of the Shark: Grand Finale and Shark Dissection
Yes, you read that correctly! Join
us at the Bagdad Theater for a presentation and in-person dissection of a shark, courtesy of Oregon State
University's Big Fish Lab. The Summer of the Shark series was designed to bring
sharks and shark science to communities throughout Oregon, and they're bringing
the grand finale presentation to the Bagdad Theater.
Don't miss out on this incredible
opportunity to meet Oregon's shark scientists and learn about the important
work they do. And we'll be projecting the dissection onto the theater screen,
so you don't miss out on any of the details. And just in case you're wondering,
don't worry: the shark died of natural causes!
There will be food, drinks,

proceeds will go to directly supporting research and students at the Big Fish
Lab. We recommend making an evening of it! Bring a date with you to Bagdad for

pretty cool date idea, in our opinion.

Haven't heard of the Big Fish Lab?
We are a research group located in Newport, at OSU's Hatfield Marine Science
Center. Though we were originally established to fill a gap in our
understanding of sharks in Oregon waters, our work also takes us globally - to
Ireland, the Maldives, Mexico, South Africa, and more. Our scientists study a
